Introduction to Childbirth Education for Doulas

DONA International has a childbirth education requirement for certification. I offer the 8-hour Introduction to Childbirth Education course live through Zoom monthly. In addition to the live sessions I include additional tools, handouts and resources. 

The training agenda includes:

  3. Prenatal Development
  4. Phases and Stages of Labor and Birth
  5. Terminology, Routine Procedures and Interventions
  6. Labor Variations
  7. Relaxation Techniques (other Comfort Measures during the training)
  8. VBAC's and Cesareans
  9. Fathers and Advocacy
  10. Breastfeeding and the Newborn
